Roadmap to North Captiva Island

North Captiva Island is only accessible by water taxi or private charter boat. To get to North Captiva by boat, start at Pineland Marina.

From there it is only a 20 to 25 minute boat ride to the dock, and only another minute or two to Longboat Pearl. Ferry Services and Private Water Taxi are available with advance reservations, details below.

Southwest Florida International Airport is the closest major airport to Sanibel and Captiva.

Your adventure begins at Pineland Marina on Pine Island. Your destination is a little off the beaten path, so reservations are necessary. The following taxi and shuttle services can deliver you to the dock:

Directions from Southwest Florida International Airport:
Take I-75 North to Exit 26 (Pine Island Road or Route 78)
Follow Pine Island Road 20 miles West, through Matlacha to the stop sign (Stringfellow Rd)
Turn right on Stringfellow Road and you'll be headed North about 3 miles.
Turn left on Pineland Road - you'll pass the Mango plantation - and follow Pineland road about 1 mile - Pineland Marina will be on your left.
