Temperature

Average temperatures on North Captiva Island vary - The best times to visit for ideal weather is October 29th to April 15th, based on average temperature and humidity. The warmest time of year is generally early August where highs are regularly around 93°F with temperatures rarely dropping below 75.5°F at night.

Precipitation

The months with the lowest chance of significant precipitation are January, November, and then December (in that order).

Humidity and Wind

The least humid month is March (56.6% relative humidity), and the most humid month is September (72.6%).

Wind on the island is usually calm. The windiest month is March, followed by April and May. March’s average wind speed of around 6.9 knots. 

North Captiva Travel Experience By Season 

Spring (March through May)

Humidity and temperatures combine to make this season feel warm. Highs range from 91.6°F and 78.4°F with warmer temperatures in the later months. Rain is somewhat scarce with 3 to 5 days of significant precipitation per month.

Summer (June through August)

The middle-year months have very comfortable weather with high temperatures that are quite warm.

Fall (September through November)

Fall daily highs range from 91.4°F and 80°F, which will feel very nice given the humidity and wind. 

Winter (December through February)

Weather is perfect this time of year on North Captiva. The average high during this season is between 80°F and 74.6°F.
